Power and boot up

Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the RJ45 connector jack on the back of the sonicTransporter. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to a router that has access to the internet.

For the sonicTransporter i5 connect the DC power supply that came with the sonicTransporter. The DC power connector accepts a 5.5mm x 2.1mm jack.

If you want to use your own supply make sure it matches the specs of the supply that came with your sonicTranspoter.

Wait approximately 60 seconds for the sonicTransporter to boot up and it should be ready to use.

Accessing the sonicTransporter's administration and configuration page

From any web browser on your home network enter the URL www.sonicorbiter.com to locate the sonicTransporter's web based managment interface.

Click manage next to the sonicTransporter you want to configure.

You should now see the sonicTransporter's configuration and administration web page.

Attaching a USB drive filled with music to the sonicTransporter

Connect your USB drive to the sonicTransporter. Almost any drive format will work. This works best if only music files are on the drive.

Go to the administration and configuration page and select Manage -> Apps -> Drive Mounter. Then select the USB tab. Use the drop-down to select your USB drive.

Click on save changes.

Note on hard drive formats - The sonicTransporter supportes many drive formats but we find exFAT works the best. If you are having problems accessing your music files reformat your drive with exFAT using your computer.
