Powering up

You can manage your sonicTransporter from our easy-to-use web interface located at http://sonicorbiter.com .

  1. Attach your sonicTransporter to your router with the supplied Ethernet cable.
  2. Attach your sonicTransporter to the power brick and plug it in.
  3. Press the power button on the front of the sonicTransporter.
  4. On the first start up, please allow one minute for the initial boot up process to complete.
  5. Go to http://sonicorbiter.com and click on the IP address (or “Manage” button) of your sonicTransporter.
  6. Congratulations, you are now in the sonicTransporter configuration and monitoring Graphical User Interface.

Accessing the sonicTransporter's administration and configuration page

From any web browser on your home network enter the URL www.sonicorbiter.com  to locate the sonicTransporter's web based managment interface.

Click manage next to the sonicTransporter you want to configure.

You should now see the sonicTransporter's configuration and administration web page.

Attaching a USB drive filled with music to the sonicTransporter

Connect your USB drive to the sonicTransporter. exFAT format works best. This works best if only music files are on the drive.

Go to the administration and configuration page and select Manage -> Apps -> Drive Mounter. Then select the USB tab. Use the drop-down to select your USB drive.

Click on save changes.

Note on hard drive formats - The sonicTransporter supportes many drive formats but we find exFAT works the best. If you are having problems accessing your music files reformat your drive with exFAT using your computer. MAC format is not supported.
