Your privacy rights
Small Green Computer, LLC operates this site and the update service your player checks in with. This section summarises what we process and the rights you have over it.
We don't know who you are. A check-in sends a device identifier and network address — never a name, email, or account. Alone, that data identifies hardware, not a person; we can't link it to you. That link exists only if you sign into the customer portal and claim a unit.
Finding your players
To list your players, the device finder compares the public IP address your browser is connecting from against the address each player last checked in from. You only ever see devices behind your own public address.
What your player reports
Each player checks in at power-on and about once a day, sending its device identifier (its MAC address), model, firmware version, local and public IP addresses, and the result of its last update check. We derive an approximate location — city level at best — from that IP address the first time we see the unit.
Why, and for how long
We use it to offer the right firmware to each model, to help you find and support your players, and for aggregate statistics about the fleet. Individual check-in records are deleted automatically after 30 days; the current status of a player is kept while it remains in service. This page shows only players seen in the last 25 hours.
Signing in and downloading
When you sign into the customer portal, and when you download an image from the downloads page, we record the date and time, the public IP address the request came from and the approximate location we derive from it — plus which image it was, and your account where you were signed in. We keep these records to support customers and to spot misuse of the download links; you can ask us to delete yours.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. If you are in the EU or UK, these rights come from the GDPR, and you may also complain to your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the rights to know, delete and correct, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of them.
